Description

• This indicator plots a line showing the percentage change in price over a period of time
• This is computed by calculating the difference between the current bar and bar at specified period as a percentage of current bar

Interpretation

• Helps in understanding the fluctuation in price of stocks over a period of time in terms of percentage
• If the indicator oscillates around zero with positive values, it indicates increasing prices
• If the indicator oscillates around zero with negative values, it indicates declining prices

For eg. A slope rises when it is above 20-day SMA and falls when it is below it
